Rodent testicular toxicity is one of the most common findings in longer term regulatory toxicology studies. CXR staff and Associates have extensive experience of designing, running and interpreting investigative studies to identify mechanism of action of testicular toxicity, and drive the regulatory hazard / risk assessment.
Relevant mechanisms that CXR has experience of include:
- Disruption of steroidogenesis mode of action
- RARα (Retinoic Acid Receptor alpha) antagonism mode of action
- Hormonal mediated tumorigenesis e.g. via dopamine
